Clearly, we see God's electing grace dealing with man as a free moral agent persuading him. Paul said, "knowing therefore the fear of the Lord, we persuade men" (IICor. 5:11). Hearing God's Word and the work of the Holy Spirit ... that's all the effectual call ... that I see in scripture.
